Prescription: God is the PLUG🔌
Dosage: Readers are required to plug into God.♥️
If I could describe this past month in one word I would say: STRESSFUL. I haven’t felt this stressed since college! Between friend drama and my mother taking ill, I JUST CAN’T DEAL! What do you do you when you’re stressed? Do you complain, become overwhelmed and stop everything, or keep pushing? Who do you run to…?
I know when I’m stressed I become overwhelmed and I stop. But once I stop, it becomes harder for me to return to the task at hand. So, I push it aside and I eventually forget it.
How many know that this is how we treat God. We push Him aside and forget Him. When life becomes stressful we lean on ourselves or friends/family instead of leaning on Him. WHY? We know November is all about Thanksgiving. In hindsight you should be thankful every day, not just one day out of the year. But, this past month, I truly understood what it meant to be thankful. The threat of losing friends and my mother made me realize how quickly things can go left and if you’re not plugged in to God, you’ll let stress take over and stop leaning on Him.
👉🏽Don’t let the stresses of life weigh you down to the point of forgetting who your plug is‼️ I was preparing for the traditional Thanksgiving this year, I had no clue I was about to be hit with my mother taking ill just days before the holiday. I stayed praying “God got you mom” and during me praying for her, He had me to.
I realized that all this stress I was feeling was because I was overwhelmed and forgetting God is my plug. I was forgetting that I’m not alone, I don’t have to handle things by myself. The Bible says in I Corinthians 10:13 (Amplified Version) No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy]. Unplug from whatever is stressing you and plug into God! Stay Encouraged Daily Readers!
