Prescription: PIVOT Season

Dosage: Readers are required to evaluate your responses and try a new approach.

Daily Readers it’s that time of year again, you know the time where we recap our previous year. But I can’t talk about 2021 without including the craziest year ever 2 0 2 0!

Sounds like a horror movie, but needless to say I don’t remember 2021 being that much different. Hear me out…

We all know 2020 was hands down the craziest year. We were all stuck in the house,  wearing masks, and working with limited resources. All while the world was being unorganized, slim on funds, and making the abnormal look normal ( the country was wildin’).

Wait a minute,Hold up…Let me give props where props are due.

2020 wasn’t all bad because it was the year that pushed people to fight for racial equality in America and it was the year that forced everyone to take their mental health seriously.

2020 made everyone adjust and better prepare themselves for the “unexpected”. So of course when 2021 rolled around it only made sense for us to progress where we didn’t in 2020 right?

Depending on where you were , you may have still been stuck in the house.

Depending on where you were,  you were required to  still wear masks.

Depending on where you were , you had limited resources.

and  guess what, the country was still wildin’.

Depending on what state you were in literally or figuratively,  2021 looked identical to 2020.

And that’s where I was Daily Readers, going through the same ol same ol….

I kept trying to write a 2020 wrap up blog and I never could get around to it, I never felt ready to share. Yes, there were some major exciting changes happening to me, but alongside those changes I noticed a few familiar blocks I have accepted along the way.

And at this stage of my life I am outgrowing certain mindsets and thoughts from my former years.

Enough is enough.

My new last name has opened a new door for me, and that door is called PIVOT.

Where God is taking me in this next season calls for me to apply changes within. It’s going to take some work, but I know if He is calling for better then I must have the tools to achieve better.

In other words,

It is my PIVOT season Daily Readers. This season I must respond differently in my emotions, in how I think, in my finances, in my LIFE, PERIOD!

I never want to be the adult that stays stuck in their ways, and expects everyone to just accept their toxicity. UNACCEPTABLE!

I am challenging you this year to PIVOT along with me. Show up differently for you, because it’s time!

I’ll leave you with this,

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Stay Encouraged Daily Readers!

See you on the next blog, where we tackle toxic thinking.
